I compared your request string length with that of the LTV length and it is the length that is killing the response from your ECU.
LTV is trying to query too many items at once to populate the vehicle info and/or AF Learning sections. We'll have to fix this in the Logger and break the query up if too long.
In the meantime you may be able to get around this by removing your ECU ID from the Logger definition for a couple of less important parameters, such as:
Code:
    P2("P2"),       // ECT
    P11("P11"),     // IAT
    P17("P17"),     // Battery Volts
    P24("P24"),     // ATM
    P66("P66"),     // AF Learning 3
P115("P115"),   // Learned Throttle Closed Voltage
    P118("P118"),   // AF Learning 4
P153("P153"),   // Whole Learning value in timing

That worked, but wondering if I should try putting AF Learning #3 and #4 back in if they are something I might need? I have a "U5" (3 cat, 2 AFR + 3 o2 sensor) 2.5i Subaru that I'm supercharging. Not sure if those learning values might apply to some of the rear O2 sensors?

You can try, just leave out the least amount of parameters to make it work.

Thanks. Looks like I got away with just removing these:
Quote:
P2("P2"), // ECT
P11("P11"), // IAT
P17("P17"), // Battery Volts

i don't believe the BMW ecu's are supported for LTV info just yet.

If you get all 0 then you have no knock.
If it was not supported you wouldn't even get a table of cell data.

wow, thats fine then..i thought my little rev hang is going to show up son values in the learning tables! bad news..
in the other hand..i have another ecu who show me this messagen when i try to use LTV:
retrieving vehicle info & A/F values...
error performing adaptation table values read
check the following:
logger has succesfully connectec to the ecu (i can read the other ecu so it's ok)
correct com port is selected (the same)
cables is connected properly (the same)
ignition is ON (im 100% sure of this)

i know there is a specific theme for ms41 but with no much move for the moment..maybe is my problem is a generic problem about my laptop and we can solve here and not specific about my ecu..

What version of MS41 exactly?

ms 41.0 and the version is cal id 41 and ecu 1429861 and with the 1432401 shows exactly the same message.
with the ms 41.2 ecu shows the LTV

If it's still not working, post your rr_system.log in TRACE mode.

I just got this working today after removing some queries so that the ECU would respond. The knock values are interesting though. Is there anything I might try to get realistic values?
