Hello,
Great forum, I am super appreciative of the work that has been put into developing this whole thing...
I have had some bad experience with obd plugs in the past and the tatrix cable is by far the most expensive type I've owned. To avoid breaking the unit I would like to extend my obd plug to the cubby under the stereo as well as a test mode toggle and my dccd controller.
Anything I should add while I'm at it? Any reason I shouldn't do this?
Once the layout is done I'm going to have a friend 3d print a copy of this and hopefully I'm able to share the fine for others to use.
Let me know what you think!
Thanks!
Eric

Love it. I broke the usb on my tactrix (they took care of it at no charge, great guys). As soon as ibgot i back i bought a cheap obd extension from amazon and did exactly this. Works freat for logging but i get a voktage error if trying to flash. Just unplug the extension and plug the tactrix to the oem plug when flashing.

This is exactly the type of information I was looking for, thank you. I wonder if there is a specific type of extension I would be looking for so I don't have this happen?

I have used an OBD extension from the first day and have no problems with it. I got one with a right angle so nothing protrudes below the under dash cover.

i moved my plug right in the middle of the center console and put a green flash connector switch next to it.
