I'm referring to the connection selection options - how to select a specific non-COM device.
I posted recently in the troubleshooting forum (maybe should have posted here in dev?)

Since adding/using other J2534 devices for GM GDS2, Subaru SSM etc... Logger is unable to connect to my openport 2.0 for logging.

The preference is J2534 devices first. If none are connected then the first serial COM port is tried unless a specific port is selected.

I have multiple J2534 drivers loaded and it always finds the one connected. If it can't find your Openport 2 then something is not correct with your driver installation as defined in the Registry, or your driver file is corrupt.

That's what it seems to do, the logs show that it attempted to use tactrix around the middle of the list, as well as a device explorer window showing them one by one - This window only showed one device at a time not all of them.
I also verified the vehicle/openport/cable are working with another laptop. I removed & reinstalled the latest J2534 driver on that one as well to see if the latest version had an issue.

I uninstalled the driver (and checked option to delete driver) and downloaded a fresh J2534 driver installer from Tactrix and even tried other USB ports on the problem machine... what keys can I verify in the registry?

I found this which is in the exact order it seemed to attempt the devices... these entries correct?

That is the J2534 Registry list.
Note that EcuFlash does not consult the Registry to use its own driver. The Registry listing is only for J2534 compatible software to find the installed drivers on the system.
