Hello,

Great work and cheers for sharing.

I've just wired up my AEM Failsafe to a Phidget and none of the expressions in this great post worked for me.

Luckily, the conversions are supplied by AEM here:
http://www.aemelectronics.com/Images/Products/Installation%20Instructions%2030-4900.pdf

The expression i worked out from that is:

0.01316225*x+7.3125

Incidentally, I also wired the boost pressure analog signal to the Phidget as well and the expression is:

x*0.05181-16

Cheers,
Scott

So moving on to the next step....

I would like to log the AFR (or even boost) values from my AEM Failsafe via the Phidget, to the SD card.

Can I use a USB to stereo jack adapter (like this one: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product ... 40097.html) to connect the Phidget to the Tactrix OP 2.0?

I know there are other options (as below) but I was wondering how to get the Phidget output to the SD card?

Cheers.

I don't think the Openport2 has a USB host to interface with the Phidget.
The Openport2 stereo plug is for reading serial data streams of supported devices.

Totally digging this thread up from the dead, however first and foremost thanks for the great work in adding this Phidget support into RR!!

I've gone about various translation formulas to get the raw data to translate over to AFR, and have had mixed results.

Specifically, the AFR picked up by RomRaider via the Phidget isn't exactly matching what my AFR gauge is reading in the car. I'd imagine there's some sort of lag and I'm not truly comparing the two values nearly instantaneously enough, but using the following equation:

Gasoline AFR = 0.0024398193359375*x + 10.001

results in an AFR of 11.46 with a PIK value of 600 (idle sitting in my driveway, the AFR gauge hovers around 14.5-14.7) - certainly not the proper AFR.

Should the wideband be reading about the same as the narrowband in RR? I know the sensors are in different sections of pipe, but should I be trying to scale my Phidget output against the narrowband or just trust an otherwise 'close' transfer function and call it good?

Thanks again!

The OEM front AFR sensor should be pretty accurate when not subject to boost pressure. So a normal 14.5-14.7 reading on it in RR should result in the same from your WBO2 connected via the Phidget.
What WBO2 are you trying to scale? Does the manufacture publish a voltage to AFR curve you can work from?

Does this also work with the VINT Hub?

If it responds to the standard Phidgets API then it should, but I have not tested it.
I could get one and test it first, if you're interested in using it.

The VINT Hub does not work with the current Phidgets plugin.

Hi, how calculate temperature? I cant sort out how to make equation 0V: -55 C and 5V: +125 C.
Plan is to measure and log Intake temperatures from different locations.

Is the slope between the two extreme points linear or curved?

It is linear.
