Quick-n-dirty implementation of a python tool to convert a RomRaider XML profiles to Tactrix standalone logcfg.txt file.

Still on early stages (just a day of work so far) and some features like composite and conditional expressions are still missing.

Not much attention was given to comments on source code (should be clear to read as possible) neither on generated file ()

Kudos to hunterjm as this implementation is totally inspired by his OpenPort LogCfg Generator tool.

Nope, it generates an "empty" response for the attached XML.

Maybe it's because my ecu (6CF2504007, '10 FXT ADM/SADM) isn't supported so I had to pick a similar one (62421A4007, '10 FXT USDM). It shouldn't be the case - I believe - since all parameters are from 32 bit base.

In the meantime, that's another limitation so far: my tool doesn't use the ECU ID so it would only work for base parameters.

If the ECU ID doesn't exist and you pick something similar, then it's possible your profile contains param IDs not valid for the "similar" ECU ID.
It should generate a more meaningful message, or skip incompatible parameters and at least generate a list of matches and a meaningful message.
And since your ECU ID is not in the Logger def any extended parameters will be missing.

BTW: the term 32 Bit Base is only valid for an ECU Definition, it has no relevance in a logger def.

1) Sure, but IMHO it should generate a file with anything it recognize and report - as you said - what's wrong.

It does, but the file is just an error message that a user won't understand.
