Looking at your other post, I am assuming your car is an 04 EDM STi? If so, it definitely should be in the list. The ECU ID is located in the bottom right corner of the logger app when it is plugged into your car. If the defs can be trusted, is probably 2944596105 for the A4RN200H rom.

My ECU ID: 7472594007

I always get the below:

;------------------------------ABOUT------------------------------;
; This config file was generated by comparing a RomRaider Logger ;
; Profile XML against the RomRaider Logger Definition XML. ;
; Depending on the parameters selected, it will enable logging ;
; via either CAN or K-Line. ;

; @since December 22, 2012 ;
; @see http://subaru.hunterjm.com/ ;

type = ssmcan

;--------------------LOGGED PARAMETERS--------------------;
; These parameters were selected in the RomRaider Logging ;
; profile. They will appear in your CSV log outputs on ;
; the SD card in your Tactrix cable. Keep in mind that ;
; unlike RomRaider Logger, the headings will have an ;
; underscore (_) instead of a space ( ). ;
;---------------------------------------------------------;
;----------------HIDDEN/TRIGGER PARAMETERS----------------;
; These parameters will not show up in your logs. They ;
; are required in order to create the calculated params ;
; you have included below or to be used in triggers. ;
;---------------------------------------------------------;
; Defogger Switch Trigger
paramname = defogger_trigger
paramid = 0x64
databits = 1
offsetbits = 5
isvisible = 0

;------------------CALCULATED PARAMETERS------------------;
; These parameters are calculated from the parameters ;
; you have included above. They will appear in your CSV ;
; log outputs on the SD card in your Tactrix cable. Keep ;
; in mind that unlike RomRaider Logger, the headings will ;
; have an underscore (_) instead of a space ( ). ;
;---------------------------------------------------------;
;-------------------------TRIGGER-------------------------;
; Triggers allow us to start/stop and resume logging to ;
; a file. A default configuration has been setup for ;
; you to start with. This will start logging when the ;
; engine starts (RPM > 0). ;
; ;
; A second configuration is also available. It will log ;
; when you press the defogger switch and will stop the ;
; log when you turn the defogger off. In order to use ;
; that configuration, remove the ";" at the beginning of ;
; the "Defogger Switch" lines and add a ";" to the others ;
;---------------------------------------------------------;

; Start log when defogger_trigger == 1
conditionrpn = defogger_trigger,1,==
action = start

; Stop log when defogger_trigger == 0
conditionrpn = defogger_trigger,0,==
action = stop

my ecu id is : 2E44596105, and it's not in the list :(

I could generate a working file by choosing an ecu similar, and I found one similar by looking in the logger_METRIC_EN_v247.xml file, searching my ecu id, and see a list of "similar" ecu :

Code:
<ecu id="2944596105,2A44506005,2AA4506005,2E44594005,2E44594105,2E44596105,2E54594105,3D44593005,3D54593005">
                        <address length="2">0x020E82</address>
</ecu>

I choose one of them in the list and generate the file, and then check if all the address (0x020e82 for example) is correct.

Just wanna say THANK YOU for this tool. After screwing around with this off and on since early 2012 I am FINALLY able to log via standalone! I am also logging my AEM Uego wideband perfectly. Simply uploading my RomRaider profile is so handy. Only thing I have to add is my wideband info at the top!

Too bad there is no way to increase the sampling rate on the K line - 5 lines/sec is a little slow.

Thanks!

How would one go about getting a new ECU ID in the list?

Mine is a 4544307106 and it's a EDM Subaru Legacy 2.0R (NA) with AVCS.

I have to correct my self - recently the car received an official PAK update and since the ECU ID is 4544307206.

UPDATE
The source code for this tool is available on GitHub under the MIT license. Up until this point, I haven't made any updates or modifications for almost an entire year. During the same period of my neglect, there was still 1,287 visits and 465 logcfg.txt files generated. I figured it was time to let someone else help if people want this tool to stay relevant.

Just for fun, here were the most popular vehicles last year:
ECU: 3152584006 ('04 Forester XT) - 107 times
ECU: 3D04EA4605 ('98 WRX) - 20 times
ECU: 7442594007 ('11 WRX STi) - 16 times

I have a 2015 WRX STi ADM and am having some issues logging some paramenters.

I have been trying to set up my Tactrix to log to the SD card and have had some success, but not complete success.

The parameters that i want to log are:

Boost, Engine Speed, Vehicle Speed Accelerator pedal angle, gear position and brake booster pressure.

I need help to get the Boost working correctly as it is logging up to 27 psi when not even pushing the car very hard, and no negative pressure at all.

I can't get Gear position to log either - i am getting the figure 256 in that column.

I am also getting nothing for Brake booster psi.

Any help would be appreciated as it would be pretty cool to be able to create a video like yours on DashWare.

My log file is this:

;P7 - Manifold Absolute Pressure(psi)

paramname = Manifold_Absolute_Pressure(psi)

paramid = 0x00000D

scalingrpn = x,37,*,255,/

;P8 - Engine Speed(rpm)

paramname = Engine_Speed(rpm)

paramid = 0x00000E

databits = 16

scalingrpn = x,4,/

;P9 - Vehicle Speed(km/h)

paramname = Vehicle_Speed(km/h)

paramid = 0x000010

scalingrpn = x

;P13 - Throttle Opening Angle(%)

paramname = Throttle_Opening_Angle(%)

paramid = 0x000015

scalingrpn = x,100,*,255,/

;P30 - Accelerator Pedal Angle(%)

paramname = Accelerator_Pedal_Angle(%)

paramid = 0x000029

scalingrpn = x,100,*,255,/

;P60 - Gear Position(gear)

paramname = Gear_Position(gear)

paramid = 0x00004A

scalingrpn = x,1,+

;P77 - Brake Booster Pressure(psi)

paramname = Brake_Booster_Pressure(psi)

paramid = 0x000104

scalingrpn = x,37,*,255,/

Hope someone can help.

Jeremy

Late reply i know.

You should be logging Manifold Relative Pressure.

Config for your car is below.

<parameter id="P25" name="Manifold Relative Pressure" desc="P25-Manifold Absolute Pressure [P7] minus current Atmospheric Pressure [P24]." ecubyteindex="11" ecubit="7" target="1">
<address>0x000024</address>
<conversions>
<conversion units="psi" expr="(x-128)*37/255" format="0.00" gauge_min="-30" gauge_max="30" gauge_step="5" />

The tactrix config tool simplifies the formula so im not 100% how it goes but it'll be something like below

;P25 - Manifold Absolute Pressure(psi)

paramname = Manifold Relative Pressure(psi)

paramid = 0x000024

scalingrpn = (x-128),37,*,255,/

Using the config tool is a bit old school imo. Have you ever tried btssm? If your on android btssm is a must for any subaru owner :)
If your definition isn't added on there he can add it for you no problem.

utter late and grave digging reply:

scalingrpn should be = x,128,-,37,*,255,/

In the meantime, i've just made my own tool to convert RomRaider XML profile to tactrix standalone logcfg format:

https://github.com/macedot/logcfg

Cheers!
